Platform features

Every feature your team needs — none that slow them down

Goldcoastnet is deliberately focused: deep collaboration tools without the feature bloat that drives adoption failures.

How collaboration actually breaks in distributed teams

The problem is rarely effort — it is almost always context arriving too late.

When a Sydney engineer merges a branch, does the Brisbane product manager find out before or after the client asks? When a Canberra director approves revised scope, does the Melbourne delivery team see the update before tomorrow's planning session? These micro-delays — individually trivial, collectively devastating — are the collaboration tax that Goldcoastnet eliminates. Our platform was designed around the actual failure modes we identified across 40 Australian organisations during a two-year research phase, not around feature checklists borrowed from overseas competitors.

Platform capabilities in detail

Six focused feature sets, each solving a specific collaboration breakdown point.

Smart task assignment

Workload balancing flags overloaded team members before tasks are assigned. The system cross-references current sprint commitments, leave calendars, and historical completion rates to recommend the right owner — reducing the reassignment churn that delays delivery.

Co-authored documents

Real-time collaborative editing with version history, comment threads, and approval workflows built in. Documents live inside the project they belong to, so there is no secondary search across a separate file system — the specification is always adjacent to the task it governs.

Predictive delivery analytics

Machine-learning models trained on your team's own velocity data surface delivery risk three to five sprints ahead. Rather than a red flag on the day a deadline slips, Goldcoastnet shows the trajectory six weeks out — giving leads time to replan without crisis management.

Bi-directional integrations

Changes made in Jira, Xero, or Salesforce propagate into Goldcoastnet automatically, and vice versa. A deal closed in Salesforce can auto-generate an onboarding project board. An invoice approved in Xero can close the corresponding delivery milestone — all without manual coordination.

Granular access controls

Assign viewer, contributor, reviewer, or admin roles at the workspace, project, or individual-document level. External stakeholders — clients, contractors, auditors — receive scoped guest access that expires automatically on the date you specify, keeping sensitive data protected.

Full-featured mobile apps

Native iOS and Android apps mirror the full desktop experience, including push notifications linked to specific task changes, offline editing that syncs on reconnection, and biometric login. Field teams and executives travelling between sites remain fully connected without compromise.

Common questions about the platform

Honest answers to what our prospects ask most before signing up.

How long does onboarding typically take?

Most teams of 10–50 people complete initial setup — workspace configuration, integrations, and first project created — within two business days. Dedicated onboarding guides are available for all paid plans, and our Canberra-based support team is reachable during AEST business hours.

Can we migrate data from our existing project tool?

Goldcoastnet provides structured importers for Jira, Asana, Monday.com, and Trello. CSV import is also available for any other source. Migration completeness depends on the data quality and structure exported from the originating tool — we recommend a test migration on a sample project first.

Is the platform available during Australian public holidays?

The platform runs on a 99.9% uptime SLA year-round, including public holidays. Automated infrastructure operates continuously. Live support response times are reduced on public holidays and weekends; emergency escalations are still handled within four hours.

Does Goldcoastnet support organisations with staff overseas?

Yes. The platform handles multiple time zones natively — each user sets their own locale, and due dates display in local time automatically. However, data is stored exclusively on Australian servers, so organisations with strict data residency requirements for overseas jurisdictions should confirm compliance with their legal team.

What happens to our data if we cancel?

On cancellation you receive a full JSON and CSV export of all workspace data, including tasks, documents, messages, and analytics history. Exports are available for 60 days post-cancellation. After that period, data is permanently deleted from Goldcoastnet servers — we do not retain it for any secondary purpose.

“Before Goldcoastnet, our infrastructure and product squads were effectively running separate sprint cycles that never quite aligned. After six weeks on the platform, we had a shared board that both disciplines updated daily. The predictive analytics flag caught a three-week slip four sprints out — we rescheduled before the client even noticed the risk.”
